Davis Design Interactive is UC Davis’s first human-centered design organization. Our organization was founded out of a growing need to provide human-centered design and user experience opportunities to students exploring the field.
Our goal is to provide and promote design education on campus in the form of hands-on projects, student-led workshops, industry panels, and more. We believe that inclusive, intersectional, and interactive design are the cornerstones of good design, and our organization embodies these core values.

Our Founding Story
The four of us met together and started Design Interactive in the Textiles closet of the UC Davis Design Building towards the end of Winter 2019 quarter. We saw a need for human-centered design and UX design opportunities and resources on campus, and wanted to create a community where budding UX designers could learn and grow together. Within two weeks, we pulled together the club structure and process and launched the first Cohort in the Spring 2020 quarter during the COVID pandemic. Although we're young as an organization, we hope to grow Design Interactive into the premiere UX club and to build a strong, supportive community for UX designers at Davis — come help us make that a reality!
